About Oconee County Library Friends
A Watkinsville Tradition
The Friends have faithfully served the community of Watkinsville for nearly 50 years. We boost awareness of our fabulous library and its abundant offerings. We raise funds through book sales and memberships, and host many exciting events throughout the year. Measures of our success are that in 2025, the Friends contributed approximately 70% of acquisition funding to provide books for all ages. In addition, proceeds from memberships and book sales purchased birthday kits, DVD/Blueray players, card tables for craft events, Summer Reading prizes, helped fund FanFest, the Book Festival, STEM Day, and crafts & programs for all ages. We could not have accomplished this without the generosity of our donors, volunteers, and patrons. We thank you!
The Oconee County Library Friends is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
